What is it like to work with me?

Though I offer a variety of support services, each one is grounded in the belief that, when we are met with the right conditions we can reclaim ownership of our lives and grow into the fullest expression of who we’re meant to be. My own experience of receiving therapeutic support was life changing, and ultimately led me to this career path.

Emotional pain doesn’t just hurt, it isolates. When it’s met with silence, the pressure to be "okay”, or the weight of judgement, it can feel unbearable. In the right space, it's possible for the weight to lift.

My relational approach is rooted in person-centred pluralistic counselling, a humanistic modality that honours your individuality and recognises that no single path suits everyone. Together, we explore what works best for you, drawing from a range of therapeutic methods whilst staying grounded in empathy, authenticity, and deep respect for your lived experience. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. Instead, we co-create a space where your voice leads, and together we explore what healing looks like for you.

Counselling Support

Counselling for Couples

Couples counselling offers a supportive and neutral facilitated space where you and your partner can explore the challenges within your relationship and work towards a stronger, healthier connection.

The aim of couples counselling is not to determine who is right or wrong, but to foster mutual understanding, strengthen your relationship, and support you in creating a more fulfilling future together.

Online sessions: £100 per 50 minute session

In person sessions: £115 per 50 minute session

The couples counselling process may include:

Exploring Your Relationship Story
We will look at your journey as a couple, the concerns that have brought you to counselling and what you hope to achieve through our work together.

Recognising Relationship Patterns
Together, we will identify what is repeatedly showing up in your relationship, some of which may be out of your awareness and how these could be contributing to the difficulties within the relationship.

Strengthening Communication Skills
I'll support you to develop your communication more effectively, listen with greater understanding, express emotions openly, and navigate disagreements more constructively.

Creating Positive Change
Every relationship is unique, so counselling is tailored to your individual needs. Whether you are looking to rebuild trust, reconnect emotionally, improve conflict resolution, or navigate a significant life transition, we will work together towards meaningful and lasting change.

Individual Counselling

You may have a clear understanding of what brings you find a counsellor at this time, or you may find that hard to put into words. Either way, my sessions are designed to work at a pace that works for you.

Alongside talking therapy, I am trained to incorporate creative methods and self compassionate mindfulness and am open to exploring how these might fit into our sessions to support you with expressing that which might feel difficult to put into words

Online sessions: £65 per 50 minute session

In person sessions: £80 per 50 minute session

If you're new to counselling and aren't sure what to expect, sessions could look like:

Exploring Your Experiences
Together, we may explore your thoughts, feelings, life experiences, and relationships. Through this process, we may begin to identify recurring patterns, underlying themes, or unresolved difficulties that may be affecting your wellbeing.

Working with Difficult Emotions
Counselling can bring forward emotions that have been difficult to express or process. I provide a solid, supportive, and non-judgemental space to help you explore and work through these feelings at your own pace.

Understanding Deeper Patterns

Sometimes, experiences from the past can shape the way we think, feel and relate to others in the present. By developing a deeper understanding of these influences, we can begin to make sense of challenges that may previously have felt confusing or overwhelming.

Developing Insight and Creating Change
As self-awareness grows, new perspectives and possibilities can emerge. This is what supports you to move forward with increased confidence, choice and authenticity.

What happens next

1. Enquiry call

I'll reply within 2 working days, and we'll arrange a free, 15 minute phone call. This will give us a chance to connect, discuss what brings you to enquire, and answer any questions you might have.

2. Take some time

There's no pressure to decide quickly. You may be speaking to other counsellors to find the best fit, you're welcome to take the time you need to decide this.

3. First session

If you decide to move forward with working together, we'll arrange a day and time that works for regular sessions. Our first session will include some initial admin and practicalities, and some time to understand what our work together could look like.

4. Ongoing sessions

This part is more unique to each individual I work with, but generally speaking I will put some time in after a few weeks to ensure you are getting what you need from our sessions.
